The way that strategic planning is undertaken is changing: why divert the organisation’s efforts in a resource-intensive, mostly top-down project to produce a plan which might be quickly outdated? The pace of change and greater uncertainty requires greater flexibility to respond. Strategy needs to be live and dynamic.
In this University of York Management School Masterclass (part of a stimulating and diverse programme) I considered how organisations can adopt a different approach to strategy and strengthen their strategic capabilities to deal with uncertain times.
